Schedule of Events

  • Launch dates are subject to change or cancellation so check back often to verify the next launch.  
  • Strongly Recommended:  Check the FaceBook page or NEFAR home page prior to leaving for the launch.  Cancellations can happen at the last minute.

  • Launch Cancellation Policy:  

    • If a launch is scrubbed, a notice will be placed on:

      • the NEFAR home page,

      • the NEFAR FaceBook Page, and 

      • Officers will attempt to contact everyone who has launched recently, or expressed an interest in doing so soon. 


    • Cancellation notices will go on the home page as early as possible. 
  • Please click the REFRESH icon in your browser to make sure you are seeing the most current page.
  • Make sure your e-mail client is active and working.  Check your "Junk Mail" box to be sure NEFAR messages aren't going there.

Our ability to fly is limited by the current Drought Index. If the drought index for the sod farm area is 600 or above we can't fly there.

NEFAR launches are scheduled monthly. Alternate launch dates occur on the 4th Saturday of each month. In case of severe drought conditions, or inclement weather, alternative activities may be scheduled. Please see the Contact page if you would like more information.
